DEACON flange and gasket sealants are designed for use between bolted, clamped, or press-fit surfaces in applications ranging from -60°F (-51°C) to 1800°F (982°C) and pressures up to 6,000 PSI (414 Bar), as well as vacuum. These products are categorized as Extruded Gasket Compounds, Paste, Liquid, or Rubber Sealants and can be used as a standalone solution or in conjunction with a gasket (as a dressing).
Target industries include Petrochemical, Power Generation, Construction, Pulp & Paper, Manufacturing, Steel, and other commercial operations where achieving a leak-free seal against steam, hydrocarbons, oils, exhaust gas, and various chemical environments is crucial.
Gaskets primarily fail or leakage occurs on joints as a result of pitting, steam cuts, irregularities, or warpage on the flange faces. DEACON flange sealants will conform to surface imperfections, allowing the gasket (if applicable) to properly seat, resulting in a leak-free seal without costly machining and downtime. The thermosetting products cure to a leather or plastic-like consistency that is compatible with thermal cycling and will not cement the joints together, allowing for future disassembly.
